Cinco De Mayo 5K
The inaugural Cinco De Mayo 5K is a community running and walking event held in Indianapolis. The event takes place on a Tuesday evening and follows a 3.1-mile course. This chip-timed race is open to participants of all ages, including both runners and walkers.
The course begins and ends near Half Liter BBQ. The event focuses on a festive atmosphere featuring music and high-energy surroundings. Participants are encouraged to wear bright colors or themed gear to reflect the holiday spirit.
Registered participants receive several items as part of their entry:
- 5 km distance
Entry includes a themed race shirt made from soft ring-spun cotton and a finisher medal specific to the event. After crossing the finish line, participants receive a beverage from Big Lug Brewing at the Half Liter BBQ location. Results for the chip-timed race are posted online following the conclusion of the event. As this is the first year for the race, official course records for overall and age group categories will be established during this edition.
