CHSAA The Charge: on Hunger
CHSAA The Charge on Hunger is a fundraising running event held on September 12, 2026 at Carroll High School, 3701 Carroll Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46818. The event raises funds for CHSAA and Boomerang Backpacks, an all volunteer group that provides weekly food assistance to NACS families during the school year.
Two event distances are offered:
- 5K Run 3.1 Miles
- Family Fun Run one mile around the track (four laps)
The Family Fun Run takes place on the Carroll High School football stadium track and allows strollers, wagons, and wheelchairs. The 5K finishes on the CHS track; spectators can view finishers from the stands and runners appear on the stadium jumbotron in the final stretch. The event lists support from the Northwest Fire District, the Allen County Sheriff's Department, and local sponsors.
Registration opens May 7, 2026 and closes September 1, 2026. The listed registration fee is $35 for the 5K and $5 for the Family Fun Run. Food trucks and local vendors are scheduled to be on site after the races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
