CHSAA The Charge: on Hunger
CHSAA The Charge: on Hunger is the inaugural Carroll High School Alumni Association 5K and Family Fun Run held on the Carroll High School campus in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The event raises funds for CHSAA and Boomerang Backpacks, an all-volunteer organization that provides weekly food assistance to NACS families during the school year.
Distances offered include:
- 5K - 3.1 Miles
- Family Fun Run - 1 Mile four laps around the Carroll High School football stadium track
The event finishes on the CHS track and features a jumbotron at the final stretch. Awards are presented to top finishers by age and gender. Food trucks and local vendors are on site. The Family Fun Run welcomes strollers, wagons, and wheelchairs.
Registration opens May 7. For the 5K, the registration fee is $35 for registrations completed before September 1; those registrants receive a free t-shirt. After September 1 the 5K fee increases to $45 per participant. The Family Fun Run fee is $5. Registration closes September 1 for the 5K and September 11 for the Family Fun Run.
