Memorial 5K for PMDD Awareness
The memorial 5K for PMDD Awareness takes place on 10/17/2026 at Twin Lakes Recreation Area in Columbia, Missouri (2500 Chapel Hill Rd., 65203). The event includes an in-person trail 5K and a virtual 5K option.
The in-person 5K uses a trail setting with many trees, a lake, and a nature area with wildflowers and other vegetation. Participants will hear and see a variety of birds. The event offers timed results for those who want them, while others may walk or stroll the course at their leisure. The race is Trail Sisters Approved. Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each category, and the top female and male finishers will be recognized.
Virtual 5K registrants receive a race T-shirt and may complete the 5K wherever and whenever they choose. Virtual participants are invited to submit a selfie to help showcase their experience.
Registration details listed for the two options include a registration fee of $40. Registration for the in-person 5K opens 2/27/2026 and for the virtual 5K opens 3/1/2026; registration for both closes 9/19/2026. The event is hosted by a nonprofit 501(c)(3) foundation dedicated to raising awareness of and supporting those with PMDD and PME.
