Indiana Parkinson Foundation's Choose To Move Race
The Choose To Move Race is an annual event that takes place in Fishers, Indiana, specifically at Witten Park. Now in its 14th year, the event serves as a fundraiser for the Indiana Parkinson Foundation. The proceeds support programs such as exercise classes, support groups, and educational resources for individuals and families affected by Parkinson’s disease.
Participants can choose from several event formats held at the Saxony Blvd. location or participate remotely via a virtual option. The event includes the following distances:
- 5K Timed Run/Walk
- 1-Mile Untimed Walk
- Virtual/Remote 3.1-Mile (any distance)
The virtual or remote participation option allows individuals to complete their chosen distance in their own neighborhood, at a local park, or on a treadmill. For those participating in the virtual format, event materials are mailed out in mid-April.
Participants who complete their registration by March 30, 2026, are guaranteed an event t-shirt. Registration fees vary depending on the chosen distance and format. The event encourages the formation of teams and individual fundraising to support the foundation's mission of providing care and resources.
