Choose Joy for Melina 5K and MORE
This event combines a community run with a family day and a virtual option. It is the seventh annual Choose Joy for Melina 5K and MORE, presented by the Melina Michelle Edenfield Foundation. The in-person portion takes place in Canfield, Ohio at Canfield High School (100 Cardinal Drive, Canfield, Ohio 44406) on September 13, 2026. A virtual 5K option runs from September 13, 2026 through October 13, 2026.
The event program includes a free kids fun run open to children ages 8 and under and a broader day of activities called Choose Joy Day that is open to racers, guests, and the public. Race packets can be shipped for a fee of $10 or picked up at the Hampton Inn Canfield on September 13, 2026. Participant shirts are guaranteed only for registrations completed by August 27, 2026.
