Choose Joy 5K
The Choose Joy 5K is the seventh annual event that combines the Choose Joy on the Green celebration with a community 5K. It offers both in-person and virtual 5K options and includes a free kids fun run open to young children.

The in-person 5K takes place at Canfield High School, 100 Cardinal Drive, Canfield, Ohio 44406. Virtual entries run from September 13, 2026 through October 13, 2026; virtual packet pickup or shipping is available. Packets may be shipped for a fee of $10 or picked up at the Hampton Inn Canfield, 6690 Ironwood Blvd, Canfield, Ohio 44406, on the event date.
The kids fun run is a single 400 meter lap on the track and is offered at no cost. Choose Joy Day is a free community event held alongside the races and is open to participants, their guests, and the public.
Registration options include different fee levels and entries labeled as cinch bag only. Participant shirts are guaranteed only for registrations completed by August 27, 2026. Registration periods open in June and close in late August or early September 2026, depending on the entry option. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
