Cheshire 10k
The Cheshire 10k is a road race at Cheshire County Showground in Knutsford. The course is described as flat, fast and traffic-free, running on a smooth rural route with each kilometre marked by distance flags and marshals positioned along the way.
Entries include chip-timed results, a unique themed medal, free race photos, post-race goodies and a bag drop with a secure marquee. Two water stations on course provide three opportunities for water during the race. Finish-line photography is provided free and timed results contribute to national rankings.
Event facilities at the venue include free on-site parking (the site uses a single entrance route, so queues and delays are possible at arrival and departure), portable toilets at the event village and on course, and a staffed baggage collection process using a tag attached to the race number. Spectators are welcome and are advised to remain in the event village to view the start and finish. Buggy runners and wheelchair athletes are permitted; dogs are not allowed to run but may be kept on a lead within the event village.
