Format and rules

Participants follow a bicycle lead on a route that follows the Fort Wayne Trails network. The course is a 5k route and will be clearly marked. There will be no police presence at road crossings, so participants must follow traffic laws at road crossings. The objective is to finish the 5k before The Shadow. Fun trophies are awarded to first place male and first place female finishers and to first place boy and girl finishers under 13. A race clock will be on site for those who want to view their time. Participants are encouraged to record their activity with a smartphone or fitness wearable and may share their activity on social media. The event notes that dressing in black is encouraged.
