Chapel Tri Aquathlon 2026
The Chapel Tri Aquathlon is a British Triathlon registered and sanctioned junior aquathlon held at Hamble Sports Complex, Satchell Lane, Hamble, Southampton SO31 4NE. The event continues into 2026 following a return to the events calendar in 2024 and forms part of the South Central Junior Triathlon Series, which supports selection for the Inter Regional Championships.
The format uses a pool based swim with transition immediately outside the pool entrance in a safe car park area. After transition there is a short run to the main lap on the school playing field. Organisers state that every part of the event, including the car park, lies within 100 m of the finish. Event distances follow British Triathlon recommendations.
Entries are priced at £24 for 2026; the fee structure is intended to reflect event costs rather than generate a large surplus. A British Triathlon Race Pass is compulsory for non members and can be obtained during entry. The event will be fully chip timed and organisers plan to count swim and run laps in addition to chip timing while athletes remain responsible for their own lap counts.
Final event details will be communicated in the week before the event. The closing date for entries is midnight 3nd May 2026.
