Event overview
The Celebrate a Nurse 5K and 1 Mile Walk takes place on May 2, 2026 in Reedsburg, Wisconsin at the Madison College - Reedsburg Campus (300 Alexander Avenue). This is the fifth annual running of the event. Proceeds benefit a scholarship for Madison College - Reedsburg nursing students. The event program includes an in-person 5K, an in-person 1-mile, and a virtual 5K option.

Race details and awards
Only participants in the in-person 5K are timed. Awards for the 5K are presented immediately after the race to the top three male and female finishers in each age division. The 5K age divisions are: 17 & under; 18-29; 30-39; 40-49; and 50 & over. The 5K route may be walked. Virtual 5K entries are not eligible for top-three finisher awards. Virtual participants in Sauk County may pick up items at the Reedsburg campus; out-of-county items will be shipped. In-person registrations can be transferred to the virtual option if the registrant cannot attend.
Teams and entry
Team entries carry no additional charge. There is an award for the most creative team and no limit on team size. Registration opens December 1, 2025. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
