Cedar Creek Haunted Wine Run 5k
The event is a chip timed 5k run/walk held at Cedar Creek Winery, Brewing Co and Distillery in Martinsville, Indiana (3820 Leonard Rd). The course begins and ends at the winery and runs mostly on paved roads through the surrounding neighborhood, making it suitable for runners and walkers.
Registration includes a Super Soft ring spun cotton T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal, a race bib for chip timing, online results, and a pour of wine at the finish. Packet pick-up is available on race day morning only.
The event names Stability First (Magdalene House) as its local charity partner. Stability First opened a 16-bed residential recovery facility for single women and has been planning a men's recovery residence called Foundations House; construction and remodel work was scheduled to begin in March 2024 and additional support was noted as needed.
Age group awards are offered for the top three finishers in each category. Ten-year age categories are 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 & Over. Competitive runners should start with the first group to be eligible for age awards; if wave starts are used, winners must start with the first wave. Age group medals are available for pickup the day of the event and will not be shipped. Results can be looked up at J3Timing.com after finishing.
Additional details: minors may participate with discounted registration that includes shirt, medal and bib but no wine glass or wine; strollers are allowed but not recommended due to uneven ground; walking is allowed; dogs are not permitted on site because USDA rules prohibit them on the produce and vegetable farm.
