Caveman Fun Run
The Caveman Fun Run is scheduled for May 10, 2025 at the Flying V Trails, located about 8 miles north of Newcastle, Wyoming on US Highway 85 across from the Flying V Cambria Inn. Event parking is available in an expanded lot at the Flying V; overflow parking is on the south side of the Flying V Cambrian Inn. To reach the start area follow posted signs past the Flying V Lodge, continue up the abandoned road to the highway, cross the highway and walk up the paved road to the trailhead.
Distances offered:
- 5K - single-track and double-track trail sections
- 10K - single-track and double-track trail sections
- 20K - single-track and double-track trail sections
Each course combines single-track trails with double-track skid roads and fire access roads. Participants who register by April 4 will receive a unique participant race souvenir. Entry fees listed are: 5K $30, 10K $45, 20K $60. Fees increase by $20 after April 18 and online registration closes May 7. Onsite registration is available at packet pickup at the Pizza Barn in Newcastle; no registrations will be accepted on race day. No refunds or registration rollovers will be given.
Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, May 9 from 5 to 7 pm at the Pizza Barn in Newcastle. Race day packet pickup and mandatory check-in are available at the Start/Finish prior to the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
