Catfish Crawl 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run
The Catfish Crawl 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run takes place in Blountstown on Nov 8, 2025, at M&B Depot Park. The event benefits the Blountstown Fire Department Scholarship Fund and provides a scholarship each year to a Blountstown High School graduating senior to attend a local fire academy. The 5K is held along the Blountstown Greenway Bike Path in downtown Blountstown.

The 5K course is certified, mostly shaded, and closed to traffic. Electronic chip timing is used and results are posted on Itsyourrace. Age group awards are given three deep from 0-9 up to 70+ in five-year increments. The event provides Catfish Crawl t-shirts. Early packet pickup and registration occur the Friday before at the fire station (17276 NW Angle Street, Blountstown, FL 32424). Race day packet pickup and day-of registration are at the Depot. The Kids One Mile Fun Run is free, allows race day registration, and awards a finisher's medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
