Castle Rock Trail Festival / liveBIG Run
The Castle Rock Trail Festival offers multiple organized trail events on the town ridgeline trails, including routes through Philip S. Miller Park and Ridgeline Open Space. The program includes a family obstacle run for children ages 5 to 12 and several timed trail races for adult participants.

- Ridgeline 50K Ultramarathon
Race-day registration is available at the event; fees increase by $15 for all races except the Family Adventure Run. Entry fees for listed distances are published by the organizer. All participants receive an event T-shirt and a finisher’s medal. Professional chip timing with a disposable bib chip is used, photos are available for download after the event, and post-race refreshments are provided.
The Ridgeline 50K has an eight-hour time limit. Aid stations provide bottled water and basic first aid; selected stations supply electrolytes. A drop-bag tent is available near the start of the 50K second loop. Awards are given overall and by age group for races 5K and up, with specified age categories for the 10K, half marathon and 50K.
Participants should be prepared for variable October weather, possible muddy trails, local wildlife on open space trails and higher elevation near 6,700 feet. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
