CASA SuperHero 5K and Walk
The CASA SuperHero 5K and Walk is a community fundraising event on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Mahr Park Arboretum, 55 Mahr Park Drive, Madisonville, KY 42431. The event is organized by CASA of Midwest Kentucky to raise awareness about child abuse prevention and to support trained volunteer advocates who serve children in Hopkins, Henderson, Crittenden, Union, Muhlenberg and Webster counties. Their program reported that 718 children needed services last year and 104 of those children received help.
The event program includes a 5K run, a group walk, a virtual run option, and a Kids 1 Mile Fun Run for children 12 and under. Pre-registered adult participants who make a minimum donation of $30 receive an event t-shirt or a cape; children 12 and under may register for a $10 donation and receive a cape. Event t-shirts are not guaranteed for on-site registration. Packet pick-up is scheduled for August 20 at the Madisonville CASA Office.
Onsite features listed for the day include costumed SuperHeroes and local heroes such as police officers and firefighters, an information booth about CASA services, food trucks, and costume prizes. Prize categories include best child, family or group, pet, and adult costumes for the walk, and age and costume awards for the 5K and kids run.
