CASA SuperHero 5K and Walk : Madisonville, KY
The CASA SuperHero 5K and Walk is a community fundraising event on August 22, 2026, at Mahr Park Arboretum, 55 Mahr Park Drive, Madisonville, KY. The event supports CASA of Midwest Kentucky, a volunteer-based program that advocates for children involved in the child welfare system across Hopkins, Henderson, Crittenden, Union, Muhlenberg and Webster counties. Last year the program recorded 718 children referred for services and provided direct help to 104 children.
Event options include a 5K run, an in-person walk, and a virtual run entry. Registration tiers listed by the organizer include a standard donation of $30 for most adult entries and a $10 child registration for ages 12 and under; children who register receive a cape and some adult registrations include an event t-shirt or cape. On-site registration is allowed but event shirts are not guaranteed for on-site registrants.
The organizer encourages superhero costumes and plans for community features such as prize categories for best costumes (child, family/group, pet, adult), interaction with local first responders and superheroes, food trucks on site, and an information booth about CASA services. Participants in the virtual option receive an event shirt and may submit photos in costume to the organizer for sharing.
