CASA Superhero Run: Spidey Edition
The 12th annual CASA Superhero Run is held at Percival's Island Trail in Lynchburg, Virginia, on November 7, 2026. The event supports CASA’s work to recruit, train, and support volunteer advocates for children in foster care.
Offered event options include:
- 5K Run (3.1 miles) with official timing and age eligibility from eight years and older
- Assisted Participant 5K (3.1 miles) with a 3 to 5 minute advance start and reserved parking
- 5K Walk (3.1 miles)
- Kids 1 Mile Fun Run (1 mile) for children up to 12 years, organized in three waves
- Couch Crusader 0.0 Mile virtual participation
Fee examples from the event information include $35 for 5K entries, $20 for the Kids 1 Mile, and $30 for the Couch Crusader. Registration opens July 1; some 5K and walk registrations close September 20, the Kids 1 Mile closes November 6, and the Couch Crusader closes November 1. All registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Additional event details include packet pickup on Friday, November 6 at Riverside Runners and race-day pickup near the start line, participant shirts or capes and swag for many entries, finisher medals for 5K and Kids 1 Mile, a costume contest, awards by overall and age groups, one water station on the 5K course plus finish-line refreshments, a discouraged-stroller policy for the narrow course, and a pets-not-allowed rule for course safety.
