Event Details
Both events start and finish at the Campbell Center in Clement Park, located at 513 SE Railroad Road in Wallace. The 5K is a timed event. The 1 Mile fun run is a non-timed event consisting of four laps around the track at Clement Park and is described as being for all ages.
Registration for the events includes a shirt and age group awards. 5K participants receive a finisher medal. 1 Mile participants receive a special treat. Awards are given for the top overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three male and female participants in age categories: 10 and under, 11 to 18, 19 to 39, and 40+.
There is a largest team competition for school groups, with the winning team receiving a pizza party. Proceeds from the event support sports, activities, and events for Wallace Parks and Recreation.
Logistics
Packet pickup is available on Friday, May 1, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Picnic Shelter at Clement Park. A last-chance packet pickup occurs on event day from 7:00 AM to 7:45 AM at the Campbell Center. The schedule includes a color guard and national anthem presentation before the races begin.
