Course and race-day details
The courses are described as flat to rolling and highlight parts of Carmel. All distances use the same start and finish area. Marathon and half marathon runners start together in the south two lanes of City Center Boulevard while the 10K and 5K start in the north two lanes; the four lanes are separated by a grass median for about 300 yards before the first turn where courses go in opposite directions. The marathon course is USATF certified and listed as a Boston qualifying course. Race services include marathon and half-marathon pacers, water and Gatorade stations approximately every 1.5 miles, free parking at the expo and start/finish area, gender-specific technical shirts, distance-specific finisher medals, a finish-line recovery area with a pancake service, and an official beer garden.
