Event Overview
The Carmel Marathon Weekend takes place on April 18, 2026, in Carmel, Indiana. The event features four distances: a marathon, a half marathon, a 10k, and a 5k. The marathon is a USATF-certified Boston qualifier.
Course and Format
All race distances share the same start and finish line on City Center Boulevard, located next to the Palladium Music Center. Marathon and half marathon participants start in two lanes, while the 10k and 5k runners start in two separate lanes; the groups are separated by a grass median for 300 yards before the courses turn in opposite directions. The marathon course is noted as one of the flattest and fastest in the Midwest for spring.
Event Features
The event provides free parking at the start/finish area. Aid stations offer water and Gatorade approximately every 1.5 miles. There is an official beer garden with free beer and a finish line recovery area serving pancakes. Pacers are provided for both the marathon and half marathon distances. Participants receive gender-specific technical shirts and custom-designed finisher medals unique to each distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
