Carmel Marathon Weekend : event overview
The Carmel Marathon Weekend takes place in Carmel, Indiana on April 18, 2026. The event uses a single start and finish area next to the Palladium Music Center at the corner of 3rd Avenue and City Center Drive (200 City Center Dr.). The race weekend includes a marathon, half marathon, 10K and 5K. The marathon course is USATF certified as a Boston qualifier and the event is listed among the larger U.S. marathons.
Race details
The courses are described as flat to rolling and pass through parts of Carmel. All distances use the same start/finish location. Marathon and half marathon runners start together in the south two lanes of City Center Boulevard while the 10K and 5K start together in the north two lanes; the four lanes are separated by a grass median for about 300 yards until the first turn where courses split in opposite directions. The event offers pacers for the marathon and half marathon. Aid stations provide water and Gatorade at roughly 1.5 mile intervals. Free parking is available at the expo and start/finish area. The finish area includes a recovery station featuring the Indiana Spine Group Pancake Village and an official beer garden. Information about race week details is available from the race website.
