The Carmel Marathon Weekend takes place in Carmel, Indiana, with the official start/finish area next to the Palladium Music Center at 3rd Avenue and City Center Drive. Marathon and half runners begin in the south two lanes of City Center Boulevard while the 10K and 5K begin in the north two lanes; the four lanes are separated by a grass median for about 300 yards until the first turn where courses head in opposite directions. The event offers marathon and half-marathon pacers, with marathon pacers targeting Boston qualifying paces. Aid stations provide water and Gatorade at approximately 1.5-mile intervals. The finish area includes a recovery area with the Indiana Spine Group Pancake Village and an official beer garden. The marathon is open to ages 16-99; the half marathon is open to ages 12-99.
