Carmel Freedom Run 4.5 + 1.5 miler
The event takes place on July 4, 2026, in Carmel, Indiana, at Upland Brewing - Clay Terrace. Courses start and finish at Upland Brewing and use streets of downtown Carmel and the Monon Trail. The event includes racing and a family walk format.
Distances:
- 4.5 mile run (16 minutes per mile pace required)
- 1.5 mile family walk
- Free fun run for kids 10 and under
Participants receive soft-style shirts, and finishers in the 4.5 mile and 1.5 mile events receive finisher medals. Overall and age-group awards are offered for faster competitors. On-course and post-race provisions include water, Gatorade, and snack options. Registered finishers aged 21 and over receive a free drink ticket valid for a beer at Upland Brewing or Pies & Pints. Java House will be on-site with coffee treats available while supplies last. A discounted rate is available for families of three or more. Volunteer registration is offered with no fee.
