Event Overview
The Carmel Freedom Run takes place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, in Carmel, Indiana. The event is held at Upland Brewing - Clay Terrace and includes two main events: a 4.5 Mile Run requiring a minimum pace of 16 minutes per mile, and a 1.5 Mile Family Walk. There is also a free, non-registration kids run for children aged 10 and under covering a short distance.
Courses and Location
The 4.5-mile and 1.5-mile courses start and finish at Upland Brewing in Clay Terrace. They utilize the streets of downtown Carmel and the Monon Trail. Packet pickup information and a detailed course map are available separately.
Participation and Amenities
All registered participants receive a soft-style shirt. For the first time, both the 4.5-mile and 1.5-mile finishers will receive a finisher medal. Post-race refreshments include water, Gatorade, and snacks. Participants aged 21 and over receive a free drink ticket for a beer at Upland Brewing or Pies & Pints, and Java House will be on-site with coffee treats.
Awards and Registration
Awards are given for the 4.5 Mile Run only. The top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three in each age group, are recognized. A discounted registration rate is offered for families of three or more. The event offers a referral program where participants can earn a refund.
