Carcoar Cup Running Festival
The Carcoar Cup Running Festival is a community running event in the historic village of Carcoar, Central West NSW, scheduled for 8 November 2026. The event includes multiple race distances held around the town and nearby countryside, with mixed surfaces that include bitumen and dirt tracks, and route features such as hills, dales and undulations. Course scenery passes local landmarks including the town of Neville and Mount Macquarie.
Race entries are professionally chip timed by Multisport Australia. All finishers receive a Carcoar-themed medal and sponsor giveaways. A photographer will be present on course and images are shared after the event on the event’s social channels.
Practical details include on-site parking near Freshwater Park and residential streets, and bibs are printed three weeks before the event and posted two weeks out; to have a name on a bib, registration must be completed at least three weeks before the race. There is no cut-off time for several shorter distances; the full marathon carries a six hour cut-off.
The event has a history of regional recognition and community awards and includes a family-focused 1.8 km event where an accompanying adult may run for an additional fee; the accompanying adult is not timed and does not receive a finisher’s medal.
