Carcoar Cup Running Festival
The Carcoar Cup Running Festival is a community running event in the historic village of Carcoar, Central West NSW. The event includes multiple distances and a family race, and it takes place around Belubula Street and nearby roads.
Distances on the program include:
- Marathon and Teams Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 10 km Special
- 6 km Carcoar to Creek Dash
- Carcoar Cup for Kids 1.8 km
The course uses a mix of bitumen and dirt surfaces and features hills, dales and undulations with scenic views including the town of Neville and Mount Macquarie. All event distances are chip timed by Multisport Australia. Finishers receive a Carcoar themed medal and sponsor giveaways. The 1.8 km family dash allows an accompanying adult who will not be timed and will not receive a finisher medal. There are no cut-off times for some shorter distances and the half marathon; the full marathon has a six hour cut-off.
The festival has received regional recognition in past years and marks over ten years of running as of 2022. Event information includes bib collection, parking guidance, photographer coverage and safety advice for staying aware on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
