Carcoar Cup Running Festival : Carcoar, NSW
The Carcoar Cup Running Festival is an annual community event held in the historic village of Carcoar, Central West New South Wales. The event offers multiple race distances and teams entries, staged on a mixed surface course that includes bitumen and dirt tracks with hills, dales and undulations through scenic countryside and nearby towns.
All timed distances are chip timed by Multisport Australia and finishers receive a Carcoar-themed medal and sponsor giveaways. The event has received several regional awards and reached its tenth year in 2022. A cut-off time of six hours applies to the full marathon; there are no cut-off times for the 2 km, 5 km, 10 km or Half Marathon. A family-focused 1.8 km kids race allows an accompanying adult to run without being timed.
Location details and local logistics are provided for attendees, including parking areas near Freshwater Park and nearby towns for accommodation and dining. Photography is provided on course. Organisers advise participants to stay aware of their surroundings while running as roads are supervised but may have occasional vehicle access.
