Capel 5

Capel 5 is a UK Athletics–sanctioned 5-mile road race organized by Capel Cheetahs in Capel St Mary, near Ipswich. The event takes place at Capel St Mary sports pavilion (Friars, IP9 2XS) and includes a 1-mile children’s fun run. The main race is an undulating out-and-back course through the village, with a short 400m section along fields, and it is chip-timed with online registration and transfers.

Entries are limited to about 250, with no on-the-day registrations. Proceeds go to charity. Prizes cover top male/female finishers, local residents, and age categories, in a lively, sponsor-supported atmosphere.
