Cape Breton Fiddlers Marathon (Sydney, NS)
The event takes place in Sydney along the waterfront, with start and finish at Victoria Park, 20 Ortona Dr. The course is paved and flat, running along downtown waterfront. The full marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifying race. Local Cape Breton musicians provide music and encouragement along the route.

- Glowing Hearth Kids Run
Timing is provided by Atlantic Chip Sport Timing. The marathon has a six hour time limit; no race support will be provided after 2:00 p.m. The full and 5 km are part of the Run Nova Scotia Road Race Series; the half is part of the Run Nova Scotia Performance Series. Non-service dogs are prohibited.
An event expo is held on October 17 at Victoria Park; race kits can be picked up and on-site registration is available between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Online registration closes October 16 at midnight.
