Cannonball Run at Broxton Bridge Plantation
The Cannonball Run is a trail event held at Broxton Bridge Plantation in Ehrhardt, South Carolina. The format includes a 34 hour event, a Last Man Standing competition, and a youth entry for runners 14 and under. The course is a 3.3 mile loop over dirt roads, double-track trails, and maintained grassy sections with about 49 feet of elevation gain per loop.
The Last Man Standing format requires runners to complete each loop within 48 minutes and return to the start line at that interval. Organizers give 5, 2, and 1 minute warnings before each loop. The final remaining runner completes a solo lap; other runners receive credit for miles completed and may move into the 34 hour event.
Primitive camping is included for all runners and includes access to a bathhouse with toilets and hot showers. RV sites and on property rooms are available through Broxton Bridge. One aid station is located at the start/finish and is stocked with snacks and drinks including water, coffee, sodas, PBJ, chips, gummy candy, pretzels, and hydration mix. Meals are provided for runners and volunteers; guest meals are available for purchase.
The event is held rain or shine. There are no refunds but optional race insurance may be available through the registration platform. Bib transfers are allowed up to the Tuesday before the race. Packet pickup times are to be determined. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
