Cannonball Run

Cannonball Run is a trail running event organized by Palmetto Ultras at Broxton Bridge Plantation in Ehrhardt, South Carolina. The event features a looped 3.3 mile course that follows dirt roads, double-track trails, and well maintained grassy sections, with about 49 feet of elevation gain per loop and minimal technical challenges.

Race formats include a 34 hour event, a Last Man Standing option, and a youth entry category for runners 14 and under. The Last Man Standing format requires participants to complete the 3.3 mile loop within each 48 minute interval; warnings are given before each loop and the last remaining runner completes a final solo lap. All runners receive credit for miles completed and may transfer into the 34 hour race when applicable.

Primitive camping is included for entrants and bathhouse facilities with toilets and hot showers are available on site. RV sites and two bed and breakfast rooms can be booked through the property. An aid station at the start/finish supplies snacks, hydration, and basic race provisions; participants must carry what they require between aid stations.

Packet pickup times are to be determined. Completing at least one loop earns a custom medal, 100 miles earns a buckle, and the Last Man Standing winner receives an engraved cannonball. The event runs rain or shine, does not offer refunds, and allows bib transfers through the week of the race. A volunteer program offers entry discounts for accumulated hours.
