Cannonball Run
Cannonball Run is scheduled for April 9–11, 2027 at Broxton Bridge Plantation in Ehrhardt, South Carolina. The event is organized by Palmetto Ultras and features looped trail formats over a multi day weekend.
- 34 hour race
- Last Man Standing on a 3.3 mile loop with 48 minute returns
- Kids registration for ages 14 and under
The course is a 3.3 mile loop that runs on a mix of dirt roads, double-track trails, and maintained grassy sections. Each loop includes about 49 feet of elevation gain. The looped format returns runners to the start/finish and aid station every 3.3 miles, so gear at the campsite is easily accessible between laps.
Primitive camping is included with registration and includes access to a bathhouse with toilets and hot showers. Participants may set up tents, canopies, or cars near the course. RV sites and on property rooms are available through Broxton Bridge with water and electricity.
One aid station is located at the start/finish and will be stocked with snacks and basic supplies such as gummy candy, chips, pretzels, PBJ, sodas, coffee, water, and Skratch hydration mix. Runners must carry any items required during the 3.3 mile loop. Food will be provided across the weekend; runners and volunteers eat for free while additional meals are available for purchase.
Awards and finish recognition include a custom medal for anyone who completes at least one loop, buckles for 100 miles or more, an engraved cannonball for the Last Man Standing winner, and category awards for top finishers. The event is rain or shine; there are no refunds but race insurance via the registration platform may be available. Bib transfers are permitted through the registration platform up to the Tuesday of race week. A one year deferral is offered for pregnancy and postpartum reasons. Volunteer hours can be redeemed for race entry discounts. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
