Cannock Chase Off-Road Duathlons
Cannock Chase Forest hosts Sprint and Standard off-road duathlons on a mix of forest, open heathland and gravel trails. The site is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the routes are entirely off road, suitable for gravel, cyclocross or mountain bikes. Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North and results can be submitted towards British Triathlon Age Group Qualifiers.
Distances include:
- Sprint Duathlon - Run 5 km, Cycle 19 km, Run 2.5 km
- Standard Duathlon - Run 10 km, Cycle 34 km, Run 5 km
The event uses a secure transition area for competitors only. Race numbers and bike numbers must match the racking spot. Small bags or boxes are permitted inside transition. Bike numbers must be attached and helmets visible before entry, and numbers will be checked before leaving transition. All finishers receive an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a drink and snack. Competitors may add a bespoke event T shirt for £14.00. A subsidised car parking charge applies, payable after the event at the Forestry England machines. Entry prices are listed for Sprint and Standard categories and are available in the event offers.
