Cannock Chase Off-Road Duathlons - 20 September 2026
Cannock Chase Off-Road Duathlons take place at Cannock Chase Forest, Rugeley, WS15 2UQ, an area designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty north of Birmingham. The event offers two multisport formats: Sprint and Standard, with all routes entirely off-road.
Distances:
- Sprint Duathlon: Run 5 km; Cycle 19 km; Run 2.5 km
- Standard Duathlon: Run 10 km; Cycle 34 km; Run 5 km
The forest provides forest tracks, open heathland and gravel trails. All running and cycling routes are off-road and suitable for Gravel, CX, or Mountain Bikes. Transition is a secure area for competitors only; race number and bike number must match the racking spot, a small bag or box is permitted inside transition, bike number must be attached and helmet visible before entry, and numbers will be checked before leaving transition.
Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North and results can be submitted towards British Triathlon Age Group Qualifiers. All finishers receive an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a drink and snack. A bespoke event T-shirt is available for an additional £12. Entry fees are listed at £40 for the Sprint and £45 for the Standard. A subsidised car parking charge applies, payable after the event at Forestry England machines.
