Candle Lake Fun Run
The Candle Lake Fun Run is a charity event that raises funds and awareness for mental health initiatives in Saskatchewan. The 2026 edition is scheduled for September 12 at the Candle Lake Golf Resort, 1 Fairway Drive, Candle Lake. The event is limited to 550 participants and the 2026 event is reported as sold out.
The route follows paths on the resort golf course. Two water stations are set on course, at about 3.5 km and around 7 km. Medical aid and a first aid tent are provided in the start and finish area. Participants receive a medal at the finish and a post-run snack is available at the Communities in Bloom tent.
Post-race activities include an event tent offering food and refreshments, live music, prize awards for best costume and group costume, food trucks, and a Cargill Kidz Zone with activities for children. 2026 swag bags include items such as a bunnyhug and a bracelet.
An online silent auction runs in June on Facebook, and proceeds from the event support community programs and mental health services in Saskatchewan. Registrations are non-refundable and entries are non-transferable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
