Cade's Cause: Concussion & CTE Awareness Run/Walk
Cade's Cause is a community event created to honor Cade and to raise awareness about the lasting impact of concussions and repetitive head impacts. The organizers describe a Stage II Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy diagnosis as the impetus for the event and for spreading awareness about prevention and support.
The event takes place at Grant Amphitheater at Clement Park (Shelter Q), 7706 W Bowles Ave, Littleton, Colorado. The day includes a Celebration of Life held before the race, a run/walk around Clement Park Lake, and post-race activities with live music by Pennies on the Track and food trucks offering food for purchase.
Course details:
- 1.5-mile loop around Clement Park Lake
- 5 km course available by completing two laps
Entry categories include an adult run/walk and a kids run/walk for ages 5 to 12. Registration fees are listed as $25 for the adult event and $10 for the kids event; children under 5 or those who opt out of a T-shirt are free. Registration includes a T-shirt and bib for sign-ups before June 11, 2026, after which T-shirts are not guaranteed. All proceeds beyond event costs go to the Concussion & CTE Foundation in Cade's honor.
