Event description
This community run/walk takes place at Grant Amphitheater (Shelter Q) in Clement Park, Littleton, Colorado on June 28, 2026. The event was created to honor a person recently diagnosed with Stage II Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) and to raise awareness about concussions and repetitive head impacts.
The day begins with a Celebration of Life before the run/walk. The course circles Clement Park Lake; one loop is about 1.5 miles. The course layout allows a 5k option by completing two laps, though most participants will do a single loop. Following the run/walk there will be live music, food trucks offering items for purchase, and time for attendees to gather and share memories.
Registration fees include a T-shirt and bib. Stated fees are $25 for the adult run/walk and $10 for children ages 5 to 12; children under 5 or those who opt out of a T-shirt are free. Remaining funds collected will be donated to the Concussion & CTE Foundation in honor of the person remembered by the event.
Attendees should expect an outdoor setting with no seating at the amphitheater for the Celebration of Life; blankets, camping chairs, coolers, and picnic food are permitted. Organizers are collecting written memories from people who knew the honoree to share with the family later. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
