About the Race
The Cabot Trail Relay Race is an annual long-distance running event held in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. The competition covers a total distance of 276.33 km (185 miles) and is organized into 17 relay stages.
The Course
The race begins in Baddeck and circumnavigates the famous Cabot Trail. Runners encounter diverse terrain throughout the stages, including steep mountain climbs within the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. The route passes through various small coastal and inland communities before reaching the finish via the rolling landscapes of the Margaree Valley.
Participation and Logistics
This is a team-based event that requires prior registration. Due to high demand, a selection process is used to determine the final team list. Participants are required to submit waiver forms and have the option to pre-order meals and event-specific apparel.
