Cabot Trail Relay Race, May 23-24 2026
The Cabot Trail Relay Race is an annual team relay covering 185 miles / 276.33 km over seventeen stages. The event is organized as a multi-stage relay with the distance divided among the stages.
The route begins in Baddeck and travels over steep mountains within the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. It continues through many small communities around the Cabot Trail and finishes in the Margaree Valley, which features gentler rolling terrain. The course therefore includes mountainous sections and stretches that pass through local communities.
For the 2026 edition a team list is published and 107 teams applied to enter the event. Event-related documents referenced include a registration form, a waiver, a meal order form and a t-shirt order form.
