About the race
Cure EB’s Butterfly Run is an inclusive fundraising event at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London on Sunday 4 October 2026. The event invites people to run, walk, wheel, or otherwise complete a measured course while supporting research into epidermolysis bullosa (EB).
Distances offered:
- 1k fun run (open to all ages)
- 5k road course (open to all ages)
- 10k road course (open to participants aged 13 and over)
The event is organised by the charity Cure EB. All entrants receive a race t-shirt, race number, time chip, and a finisher medal. Children under 10 must be accompanied on the course by a participating adult. Participants aged over 10 and under 18 may take part independently, but an accompanying adult must remain on site. Entry for the 1k fun run is per race number only; an adult running alongside a child does not need a separate entry if recorded at checkout.
Event activities on the day include music, balloon modelling, face painting, and an egg and spoon race. Trophies are presented after all races are complete. The listed event location is Brew Street Cafe & Bar at Timber Lodge, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, 1A Honor Lea Avenue, E20 1DY. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
