18th Annual Butterfly Run 5K : Waynesboro, TN
The Butterfly Run is scheduled for June 5, 2027 at Waynesboro City Park in Waynesboro, Tennessee. The event offers multiple race options and is organized to support the Butterfly Foundation, which provides financial assistance to families with children who have life threatening or life altering illnesses.
Distances offered:
- 5K USATF certified course
- 1 Mile USATF certified course
- Combined 5K and 1 Mile entry option
Both the 5K and 1 Mile courses are USATF certified and start inside Waynesboro City Park. The 5K course includes some hills with grades of 6% or greater. Timing is handled with professional RFID chip timing. All registered participants receive a race T-shirt; if shirts run out on event day, additional shirts will be available for pickup two weeks after the race.
Awards and recognition include custom finisher medals for the first 550 5K finishers, $100 cash prizes for the top overall male and female in the 5K, and awards by division: overall, Masters (40+), GrandMasters (60+), and first through third place in standard 5-year age groups. Free parking is available on-site. Strollers are permitted at the back of the pack. Pets are not allowed unless restrained to a stroller. Certain wheeled devices are prohibited on course.
