Burntwood Spring Aquathlon 2026
The Burntwood Spring Aquathlon is a multi-sport event scheduled for 12 April 2026 at the Burntwood Leisure Centre in Staffordshire. The competition combines swimming and running, with specific distances assigned based on age categories. Participants are categorized by their age as of 31 December 2026.
The event structure accommodates both junior and adult participants. Junior categories begin with the Tri Start for eight-year-olds and progress through various Tri Star levels and a Youth category. Adult categories include general Adult, Vet (40-49), and Super-Vet (50+).
Available distances for the competition:
- Tri Start (8yrs): 50m swim and 600m run
- Tri Star 1 (9-10yrs): 150m swim and 1.5km run
- Tri Star 2 (11-12yrs): 250m swim and 2km run
- Tri Star 3 (13-14yrs): 400m swim and 3km run
- Youth (15-16yrs): 400m swim and 5km run
- Adult categories: 400m swim and 5km run
British Triathlon Federation (BTF) members are required to present a current license during registration. Participants who do not hold a home nation membership must obtain a British Triathlon Race Pass. The event has a total capacity of 250 places.
