About the race
The Strait Link Burnie Ten is a community running event held each October on Tasmania's North West coast in Burnie. The event has been staged since 1985 and keeps a results archive and race history covering past editions.
The programme includes multiple distances to provide options for different ages and abilities. A shorter 5 kilometre race was introduced in 2015 to offer an intermediate distance, and a kids' race was established to provide a safe running opportunity for younger participants. The kids' race is for children aged five to 13 and takes place in a coastal arena in Burnie.
