Strait Link Burnie 10
The Strait Link Burnie 10 is an annual road running event held in Burnie on Tasmania’s North West coast. The event has been staged since 1985 and takes place in October each year. It includes a range of race formats and community activities such as a street party and an archive of past race results.
The program includes a traditional 10 kilometre road race and additional distances created to widen participation. A shorter 5 kilometre event was introduced in 2015 to provide an intermediate option. A children’s race named the Harcourts Burnie 321-GO offers a running event for children and is held in a coastal arena; the kids race is aimed at participants aged five to 13 and is run over an 800 metre dash in recent programs.
Event administration and delivery are managed by EPIC Events and Marketing in conjunction with the Burnie Athletic Club. Information resources associated with the event include event overviews, race history, frequently asked questions, training plans and a Burnie 10 Club. Historical results and recent race results are maintained in an archive for reference. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
