Strait Link Burnie 10
The Strait Link Burnie 10 is an annual running event on Tasmania's North West coast. Since 1985 people from across Australia and beyond have travelled to the area every October to take part. Organisers promote the event as Australia's Premier Community Running Event and it is described as one of Tasmania's iconic fun runs.
Distances offered include:
- 10 km (Strait Link Burnie 10)
- 5 km (Elphinstone Group 5 km; introduced in 2015)
- 800 m (Harcourts Burnie 321-GO kids race; ages 5 to 13)
The Elphinstone Group 5 km was added to provide a shorter option for younger participants and for those not prepared to complete 10 km. The Harcourts Burnie 321-GO kids' race was established as a safer alternative for children and is held in a coastal arena. Organisers publish event information such as race history, results archives, FAQs, training plans and a downloadable event book to support participants and visitors.
