The Got Your 6 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk is a community running event held in Burleson, Texas, at Chisenhall Park. The race uses the park trail with the starting line at the back corner where the concrete trail begins. The published race location address is 500 W Hidden Creek Pkwy, Burleson, TX 76208. Purpose, support and awards
The event benefits the Burleson Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association and the Burleson Police Officers Association. The alumni association has operated as a nonprofit since 2005 and has helped purchase equipment for the police department, including road spikes, defibrillators, bicycles and bicycle equipment, thermal imagers, motorcycle helmets, ice cleats, infrared thermometers, and a golf cart. The police officers association provides funding for training, equipment purchases, and benevolence for officers and their families.
Awards are given for male and female overall finishers and for age-group top three in each category. Age groups listed include: 10 & under; 11-15; 16-20; 21-30; 31-40; 41-50; 51-60; 61-70; and 71 & over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
