About the race
Burgersfort Mudbug 2026 is an obstacle mud run held at The Range on Fraaiuitzicht Road in Burgersfort, Steelpoort, Limpopo, South Africa. The event offers two course options and team-based entry categories.
Distances:
- 2.5 km obstacle course
- 10 km Mudbug Advance obstacle course
Both distances accept teams of 2, 4 or 6 participants. The event includes mud, water and a variety of obstacles along the courses. Participants who complete their chosen course receive finisher medals. Prizes are awarded in categories that include Best Team Costumes, Most Team Spirit and Muddiest Team. Food and refreshments are available at the venue.
Recommended attire is old running shoes and clothes that can get very muddy. Participants are advised to bring a towel and a change of clothes for afterwards. The event emphasizes teamwork, shared activity and a communal atmosphere rather than individual race times.
