About the race
Burdekin Sugar Rush is an annual road running event organised by Burdekin Road Runners & Walkers in Ayr, QLD. The programme features multiple race distances held at Anzac Park / Macmillan Street and includes both competitive and community-focused runs.
Distances offered include:
- Half marathon (Wilmar)
- 10 km (Sunwater)
- 5 km senior race (First in Physio)
- 5 km junior race (Northern Insurance Solutions)
- 2 km fun run for all ages
Race entry includes a race bib; early bird registrations receive personalised bibs. The first 350 registered runners receive a beach towel, and breakfast is provided to participants. A separate low cost registration for the fun run includes a race bib, a small gym towel and breakfast.
Bib pickup is organised at Anzac Park on the day before the event and on the morning of the event. No race day registrations are accepted. The event is managed by Burdekin Road Runners & Walkers, based in Ayr, QLD. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
