SPAR Budapest Marathon Festival : 41st edition
The SPAR Budapest Marathon Festival is a two day running festival held in Budapest on 10–11 October 2026. The event offers a broad program of distances and formats, combining long and short runs, walks and city tours along routes that pass world heritage sites and show parts of the city.
Event formats listed include:
- 42.195 km marathon individual, pair and four person relay
- 30 km
- 21.1 km half marathon
- 14 km
- 10 km
- 5 km
- shorter children and school races such as the 2.3 km Maratonka and 500 m symbolic races
The festival has a long history as one of the country s largest recreational sports events and in recent years drew tens of thousands of participants. The program includes live bands and course supporters, a charity and inclusion program with the FODISZ Esélyegyenlőségi Futam, event partners and an expo with exhibitors and a race shop offering technical shirts, hoodies and commemorative items.
