Event overview
The Bromesberrow Speed Runway is a community fundraising race on 01 March 2026 at Bromesberrow Village Hall, Albright Lane, Bromesberrow. The event aims to raise £10,000 to build an inclusive playpark that will be accessible for wheelchair users. All proceeds are directed to the playpark fund. Entries are open and will close on 20 February 2026 or sooner if capacity is reached.
Race details, fees and facilities
Distances:
- 10 km - age 18+, route on fields and roads, 350 places available
- 1 km - under 18s, village hall field and private road, 100 places available
The main 10 km route includes a timed 1 km "Speed Runway" section within the course. Entry fees are: under 18s 1 km at £5 (discounted until 1 Jan 2026, then £7) and main 10 km at £15 (discounted until 1 Jan 2026, then £17). Optional items: goody bag £6.50 and t-shirt £15. A service fee of 4% (minimum 50p) applies per sign-up. Prizes include awards for fastest overall and parishioner categories, fastest 1 km Speed Runway and medals for all finishers. Facilities listed are field parking, toilets in the village hall and qualified first aiders on site. Entry restrictions include no dogs, no pushchairs or chariots, and no refunds.
