About the Event
The Bromesberrow Speed Runway is a community event with two races: a main 10 km run and a 1 km fun run for children.
The 10 km race is open to participants aged 14 and over. It takes place on fields and roads around Bromesberrow. The route includes a timed 1 km section called the "Speed Runway." The 1 km fun run is for participants under 18 years old and takes place on the Village Hall field and a private road.
The event has a goal to raise funds for a new inclusive playpark in the local area.

The event offers a goody bag and event T-shirts for purchase. All proceeds from the event go towards the playpark fund.
Prizes are awarded in several categories, including fastest overall male and female, fastest parishioner, and fastest on the 1 km Speed Runway section. All finishers receive a medal.
Facilities on the day include field parking, toilets in the Village Hall, and qualified first aiders on site.
Entry restrictions include no dogs, running companions, pushchairs, or chariots. Entries close on 20 February 2026, or sooner if the event reaches capacity. There are no refunds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
