Brisbane Valley Rail Trail 100s
The Brisbane Valley Rail Trail 100s is a multi distance trail event held on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail starting from June 25th, 2027. Distances follow sections of the rail trail and use a series of checkpoints along the route.
Distances offered:
- 200 mile out and back from Ipswich Grammar School to Yarraman and return
- 100 mile runs the BVRT to Brassall finishing at Ipswich Grammar School
- 100 km starts at Harlin
- 50 mile starts at Toogoolawah
- Marathon starts at Coominya
- Half marathon starts at Fernvale
Checkpoints and locations include Yarraman (CP0), Blackbutt (CP1), Linville (CP2), Toogoolawah (CP3), Esk (CP4), Coominya (CP5), Fernvale (CP06) and the Ipswich Grammar School finish. The 100 mile check in begins at the Yarraman Heritage Centre. Cut off for all events is midday on June 27th.
Mandatory kit is required for all participants and pacers; pacers must be registered and may not carry required kit for their runner. Recommended additional items include a phone charger, backup light, first aid pack, extra clothing in drop bags, sunscreen, chafe prevention, a collapsible cup, insect repellent and bite and sting treatment.
The trail is signed with coordinate markers every kilometre. Each participant must carry at least one water bottle; water will be available at all checkpoints. GPS route files and an Esk bypass route are provided for navigation. Race officials handle withdrawals and medical decisions and participants should follow event crew instructions.
