About the race
Brisbane Road Runners Club stages the BRRC 15km Championship at Orleigh Park on Riverside Drive in West End, Brisbane. The course is a flat, accurately measured circuit along Riverside Drive, with longer distances conducted as multiple laps of that circuit. Events are conducted under police-approved permits and have marshals stationed along the course.
Timing is electronic for lap and finish times, and a digital timing clock is displayed at the start/finish area. Participants receive free post-race bananas, and a BYO water table is provided. Events are open to both club members and visitors; members do not pay entry fees.
The club has been part of Brisbane’s running community since 1982 and runs events throughout the year, generally every second Sunday. Registration for each event opens online on the Monday before the race and closes at 7pm on the Saturday night prior. There are no late entries and no registration on race morning.
