Bridekirk Dovenby 10K
The Bridekirk Dovenby 10K is an undulating road race held on Saturday 16 May 2026. It is the inaugural running of this event and the advertised distance is 10 km on quiet country roads around the Bridekirk and Tallentire area.
The course starts and finishes at Bridekirk Dovenby School and follows a loop through Bridekirk and Tallentire. The route climbs toward Tallentire hill before returning to the school through Bridekirk.
A water station is planned at approximately 5 km as participants reach the top of Tallentire hill. Organisers ask runners to help reduce waste by carrying a personal bottle or cup.
Parking is available at M Sport in Dovenby, a short walk from the start, and lift sharing is encouraged. The minimum age to compete is 16 years. Affiliated runners receive a £2 discount during sign up. If the event does not sell out there will be a limited number of entries available on the day at a £5 surcharge on the entry fee.
Live results will be provided by Timing Up North. Registration closes 15 May 2026. The entry fee is listed at £15 plus fees and the event will raise money for the Friends Of Bridekirk Dovenby School. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
