Breffni Challenge 2026
The Breffni Challenge returns to Cavan on 1 August 2026 as the 25th running of the Breffni Three Province Challenge. The event features multiple cycling and running distances and offers redesigned bespoke t-shirts and medals for participants. Finishers receive a bespoke medal.
The event supports three cancer charities: Friends of St. Luke's Oncology, National Breast Cancer Research Institute Galway, and the Cavan/Monaghan Palliative Care Fund.
Food and drink will be provided at no cost to participants, including tea, coffee, sandwiches and other refreshments. Live music is scheduled in the Market Square, and music will continue in local pubs later in the evening. A four course buffet dinner will be available in the Breffni Arms Hotel. Accommodation is available for participants.

- 100 km cycle
- 50 km cycle
- 30 km cycle
- Half marathon
- 10 km run
- 7 km run
- 5 km run
