2026 Breathitt County Honey Run
The Breathitt County Honey Run is a community athletic event held in Jackson, Kentucky, serving as the conclusion to the annual Breathitt County Honey Festival. The event is presented by the Breathitt County Cooperative Extension Office and Juniper Health. Participants gather in the Lakeside neighborhood near Panbowl Lake to take part in various distance options.
For the 2026 edition, several event categories are available to participants:
- 10k Run (6.2 Miles)
- 5k Run (3.1 Miles)
- 2-Mile Walk
- Kid Fun Run
The Kid Fun Run is a short course designed for children aged 12 and under. All participants in this category receive a small prize, though no specific age category winners are determined for this distance. For the 5k, 10k, and 2-mile walk, timing and placement awards are given for the first, second, and third place male and female finishers across multiple age divisions. These divisions range from 14 and under up to 75 and over.
The specific routes for the courses are subject to change and are being finalized due to ongoing road construction on HWY 15. A portion of the registration fee for the adult events is donated to support local youth track and cross country teams. The race venue is located at 1484 Lakeside Drive.
