2026 Breathitt County Honey Run
The Breathitt County Honey Run is an annual athletic event held in Jackson, Kentucky. Organized by the Breathitt County Cooperative Extension Office and Juniper Health, the race serves as the conclusion to the Breathitt County Honey Festival. The event takes place in the Lakeside neighborhood, with routes passing near Panbowl Lake.
Participants can choose from several event distances:
- 10K run
- 5K run
- 2M walk
- Kid Fun Run
The Kid Fun Run is designed for children aged 12 and under on a shorter course. While this specific event does not have age category winners, every participant in the Fun Run receives a small prize.
For the 10K, 5K, and 2M events, awards are presented to the first, second, and third-place finishers for both males and females across numerous age departments. These categories range from 14 and under to 75 and older.
A portion of each registration fee is designated to support local youth track and cross country teams. The specific course routes are subject to updates based on ongoing road construction on HWY 15. The event headquarters is located at 1484 Lakeside Drive. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
