Course support details are provided. There are six water stops: first at the 5K turnaround, second at the 10K turnaround, third at the end of the trail beginning on HWY 471, fourth at Countryside Drive, fifth at the beginning of the causeway, and sixth at the start/finish line. City water fountains on the path are reported to be on but may experience delays if they have not been used recently.
Safety and monitoring are noted. Police will be present at crossing sections on Northshore, and the Central MS Amateur Radio Association will monitor the race path and weather and assist with on-course issues. The organizers state the event will proceed rain or shine. Participants in the 11 miler and 22 miler are advised to carry a hydration vest or bottle to ensure access to fluids on most of the route.
