About the race
The 11th Annual Brain Bolt 5K is an in-person community run and walk held in Carmel, Indiana to benefit the treatment and care of traumatic brain and spine injuries. The event raises funds for the Neurosurgery Foundation at Goodman Campbell and includes both a traditional 5K course and a dedicated survivor course. Both courses begin at the Carmel Gazebo at Civic Square in Carmel on Saturday, October 3, 2026. The survivor course is offered alongside the traditional course and is modified to accommodate varying physical abilities, with options for walking, running, and wheelchair participation.
A featured guest will share their story of survival during the event. Registration for the event opens on July 13, 2026 and closes on August 29, 2026. The registration fee is $30.00. Volunteer roles are available, and the event accepts monetary or in-kind donations to support its fundraising purpose. The format is in-person only and focuses on accessible participation and fundraising for neurosurgical care and support for people affected by traumatic brain and spine injuries.
