Brain Bolt 5K

The Brain Bolt 5K is an annual fundraising run and community event organized by Goodman Campbell to support neurological research and care. The 11th edition takes place on Saturday, October 3, 2026, in Carmel, Indiana, with the Carmel Gazebo at Civic Square serving as the event location and central gathering point.

The event program includes two course options:

  • 5K traditional 5K course
  • 1 mile survivor course to raise awareness for those affected by traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries

Event activities listed for the day include food and drink trucks, a featured patient presentation, recognition of survivors, an exhibit called the MegaBrain, face painting, corn hole, and vendor booths. Participation is available in person at the Carmel Gazebo or by supporting the event through monetary or in-kind donations.

Race packet pickup is offered the week of the race at Goodman Campbell’s Carmel office and on race day at the registration tent. Entry fees noted for the event are $30 for early bird registration and $35 beginning September 1.

All proceeds from the Brain Bolt 5K benefit the Neurosurgery Foundation at Goodman Campbell and are directed toward research and the care of traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
