About the race
The Brabantse Ultra Trail (BUT100) is a trail running event in Leende, Netherlands, organized by Trail Events with the start and finish located at Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant Jagershorst-Eindhoven. The route uses two distinct loops called north and south and runs through the Groote Heide area between Eindhoven, Valkenswaard, Achel (Belgium), Soerendonk, Leende and Heeze. The course features many singletracks and varied natural landscapes.
Distances offered:
- 50 km one loop, north or south, 100D+ or 150D+ elevation
- 75 km 25 km of the first loop plus the full second loop, 200D+ elevation
- 100 km both north and south loops, 250D+ elevation
The full route is available as a GPX file. Finishers of the ultras automatically receive a UTMB Index. 100 km participants have access to a drop bag when they return to basecamp between loops; 75 km participants have drop bag access after the initial 25 km. Aid stations do not provide disposable cups, so participants must carry a race cup or flask. On event day participants receive a tracker to follow progress on the course.
A mandatory gear list applies and includes a charged mobile phone, a race vest with at least 1 liter of water or sports drink, first aid kit, warming blanket, rain jacket, food for 10–15 km of independent travel, navigation and a power bank, and the clearly visible starting number. Capacity is limited to 1,193 participants. Medals for the ultras are available as a separate purchase; ultra medals measure 9x9 cm. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
