Snakebite
Snakebite is a trail running event held at McDowell Mountain Regional Park near Fountain Hills, Arizona. The course is almost entirely on trails, with organizers noting about 95% trail surface and gently rolling hills. The route passes through desert scenery and is supported by volunteers.
The event offers two distance options:
- 10K
- 20K
Post-race food and social time are part of the event experience. The race is the third and final competition in the McDowell Mountain Cup series. Participants who take part in the Pemberton Trail and Stoneman Trail races in the same series are eligible for the series Cup; either the longer or shorter distances at Pemberton Trail and Snakebite may be used to qualify.
Registration details provided by the organizer include early bird pricing through October 31 and a guaranteed race shirt for runners who register by December 10.
