Snakebite - McDowell Mountain Regional Park
Snakebite is a trail run held at McDowell Mountain Regional Park near Fountain Hills, Arizona. The event offers two distances:
- 20K
- 10K
The course is almost entirely on trails, with about 95% trail surface and gently rolling hills through desert scenery. The event notes the presence of volunteers along the course and food and socializing after the run.
Registration and entry details are specified by the organizer. Early bird pricing applies through November 30. Runners who register by December 10 are guaranteed a race shirt. Race-day registration is available at the packet pickup table. Registration closes Wednesday, February 25 at 11:59PM MT.
Snakebite serves as race number 3 and the final event in the McDowell Mountain Cup series. For series eligibility participants may complete the Pemberton Trail race (50K or 25K), the Stoneman Trail 14K, and then either the 20K or 10K at Snakebite. The series allows choosing either longer or shorter distances at Pemberton Trail and Snakebite to qualify for the cup. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
