About the race
The Boyle Heights 5K Run/Walk takes place on October 17, 2026 around Mariachi Plaza in Los Angeles. The event starts and ends at Mariachi Plaza Metro Station at 1831 East 1st Street and runs along the 6th Street Bridge. The majority of the course is flat and the route crosses the 6th Street Bridge.
Event features include a Classic Car Show lining 1st Street near the start, a health festival, and a Munchkin Fun Run for children. The Munchkin Fun Run involves over 250 kids running the streets prior to the 5K.
Practical information notes access via the Mariachi Plaza Metro Station and available street parking. Limited on-site late registration will be offered on a first come basis. Local Mexican restaurants and bars line 1st Street near the event area.
