About the race
The Boxing Day Run in Puyallup is a post-Christmas running event organized by Pop Up Races that uses the East Puyallup Trailhead as the start and finish area. The route follows the Foothills Trail toward Orting, passing local farms and returning to the trailhead. Distances offered cover short to long road/trail distances, including a marathon option that follows the course twice.
Participants may take part in an optional White Elephant style gift exchange. Runners can bring a small, inexpensive, or unwanted item to place at the start and finish area and pick a gift when they complete their run.
