BougeBouge Wakefield Covered Bridge Run 2026
The BougeBouge Wakefield Covered Bridge Run takes place in Wakefield at Centre Vorlage and features road and trail courses that pass the covered bridge and traverse parts of Gatineau Park. Multiple distances are available, combining paved sections and gravel tracks.
Offered distances:
- 3 km road, crosses the covered bridge.
- 5 km road, includes a stretch along the Gatineau River.
- 10 km road, about one third paved and two thirds gravel.
- 21.1 km trail, limited to 250 participants, minimum age 10.
Trail routes include hills, flat sections, forests and plains. There are five water stations on the courses, with some self-serve points on the trails. Indoor washrooms are available at the Vorlage Centre; there are no toilets on the roads or trails. A locker is available inside the main building but is unsupervised.
Timing is managed by SPORTSTATS.CA and a clock will be at the finish line. Cut-offs and split times are set at points along the courses for safety and event logistics. All finishers receive the standard BougeBouge medal; personalized medals must be purchased online prior to the event and are distributed with bib pickup. Overnight paid parking and a Vanlife camping option are offered on site without hookups or additional services. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
