BougeBouge Wakefield Covered Bridge Run : October 11, 2026
The BougeBouge Wakefield Covered Bridge Run takes place in Wakefield at Centre Vorlage and offers road and trail courses featuring the covered bridge and Gatineau Park. Multiple distance options are available, including a limited-entry trail half marathon.
Key details: participants receive a personalized bib, events are timed by SPORTSTATS.CA and a finish-line clock will display results. Water is available at the finish and five water stations are located on the courses; some trail stations are self-serve. Bib and medal pickup occur during the bib pickup period; unclaimed medals will be recycled. Free overnight parking is offered on the race site without electrical or sanitary services.
The weekend program includes food trucks, an evening storytelling session by the fire, an introductory astrology and stargazing workshop, and a Thanksgiving breakfast. The 10 km road course is about one third paved and two thirds gravel. Trail events feature hills, flat sections, forests and plains. The 21.1 km trail is limited to 250 participants and requires a minimum age of 10 years. Dogs are not allowed on the trail run. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
