BougeBouge Wakefield Covered Bridge Run : 3 October 2027
The event takes place in Wakefield and along parts of Gatineau Park and follows sections of the Gatineau River. Courses cross the Wakefield covered bridge and include road and trail options.

The 10 km road course is described as one third paved and two thirds gravel. Trail courses include uphill sections and self-service water points on some segments. There are six water stations distributed along the courses.
Race timing is handled by SPORTSTATS.CA; a clock will be present at the finish line and participants wear personalized bibs with their names. Toilets are available at the Wakefield Community Centre only. Personal belongings may be left at the bib pick-up area but participants are responsible for their items.
Bib pick-up is held at Wakefield Community Centre on the day before the race from 11:00 to 16:00, with a limited same-day pickup option for participants from outside the region. Personalized bibs require registration at least ten days prior. Personalized medals must be added during online registration; all finishers receive the standard BougeBouge medal.
Registration incurs platform fees; prices rise by CAD 5 per month during the 90 days before the event and online registration closes the Thursday before the event. On-site registration is limited and may carry higher fees. Event programming at the community centre includes a market, registration, and several sport and outdoor workshops.
