BougeBouge Outaouais Festival 2026
The BougeBouge Outaouais Festival is a sporting event held at the Asticou Centre in Gatineau. It features several running distances: 1 km, 2.5 km, 5 km, and 10 km. Entry to the race includes full access to all festival activities, shows, and entertainment.
The event is organized into different themed zones. A show zone features a magician and performances by groups like Héritage Colombien and Cobra du Mandingue. The family zone offers face painting for children and a mascot. The active zone includes workshops and demonstrations by various local sports clubs (soccer, pickleball, volleyball, biathlon, athletics, fencing, etc.). A bike zone, the Cycloparc, provides learn-to-bike activities for children aged 2 to 8 with advance registration required. A foam zone is set up for finishers of the 1 km run. Food and drink areas are also available.
Participants can pick up their race bib and a finisher's prize (which could be a cap, toque, bandana, key chain, or t-shirt). Photographers cover the event and albums are published on BougeBouge's Facebook page. Official timing is provided by Sportstats, and the 10 km distance is GOLD certified by the Quebec Athletic Federation (FAQ). Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
