Event
The Bosworth Half Marathon takes place on 10 May 2026 in Market Bosworth, Leicestershire. The race is organised by Desford Striders Running Club and is in its 23rd year. The course is described as undulating on road and pavement and holds Certificate of Course Accuracy No. 18/595. Maximum entry is 800 and minimum age is 17 years. Entries open 30/11/2025 and close 05/05/2026. Race numbers and timing chips are not posted and must be collected on the morning of the event. No refunds or deferrals are permitted. If the event does not sell out, limited on-the-day entries may be available at £37; medals cannot be guaranteed for on-the-day entries.
Logistics and race details
Chip timing is provided and results are published shortly after the race. The event includes five water stations, bag storage, a bespoke finisher medal, and a Fyffes banana for all finishers. There is an extensive prize list including male, female, age-category (V40 to V75) and team prizes, plus a £100 course record award. Additional services noted are a retail presence, sports massage pre and post race, free downloadable race photos, and a pre-race warm up. Free car parking is provided outside Bosworth Lakeside Lodges with a 10 minute walk to registration; there is no parking inside the development and no suitable disabled parking.
