Event overview
The Bosworth Half Marathon takes place on 10 May 2026 and is organised by Desford Striders Running Club. The race is a half marathon on roads and pavements with an undulating profile. Maximum entry is 800 and the minimum age is 17 years. Entries open on 30 November 2025 and close on 5 May 2026. No refunds or deferrals are permitted. If the event does not sell out, limited on-the-day entries may be available at £37; medals for on-the-day entries cannot be guaranteed.
Location, facilities and race services
The start and race village are at Bosworth Lakeside Lodges, Wellesborough Road, Market Bosworth, CV13 6PD. Free car parking is provided outside the Lakeside Lodges entrance and is about a 10 minute walk to the registration and start area. There is no parking inside the development and no suitable disabled parking. Clubs may bring tents but these must be left at the gate and carried to the race village.
The event uses chip timing and holds a Certificate of Course Accuracy No. 18/595. Organisers provide five water stations (with High 5 drinks at the fourth station on Gated Road), bag storage, a bespoke finishers medal, a Fyffes banana for finishers, an extensive prize list including age-category and team prizes, a £100 course record award, a retail presence from Derby Runner, sports massage pre and post race, and free downloadable race photos. Pre-race warm up is provided by Unleashed Run Coaching. Race numbers and chips must be collected on the morning of the event. The event supports the mental health charity Mind.
