Bosworth Half Marathon 2026
The Bosworth Half Marathon is a road race hosted by the Desford Striders Running Club. Now in its 23rd year, the event takes place on an undulating course through the Leicestershire scenery surrounding the historic town of Market Bosworth. The race follows a route primarily on roads and pavements and holds a Certificate of Course Accuracy (No. 18/595).
The event venue is Bosworth Lakeside Lodges, which offers multiple on-site facilities including a shop, children’s play area, and water sports opportunities. Participants and spectators use a free parking area located approximately a 10-minute walk from the registration and start area. Due to the location of the parking facilities, there is no disabled parking available inside the development.

Participants receive chip timing and access to five water stations along the course, with one station providing specialized drinks. Services at the race village include bag storage, a retail area, and pre- and post-race sports massages. All finishers receive a bespoke medal and a banana, and race photos are made available for download after the event.
The competition includes an extensive prize list for male and female runners, covering various age categories from V40 to V75, as well as team prizes. A course record prize is also offered. Entry is open to runners aged 17 and older. Race numbers and timing chips are collected on the morning of the event rather than being sent by post.
