About the race
Boston Scientific organises a community running and walking event at its Galway site and the adjacent Ballybrit Racecourse. The programme offers a choice of a run around the Boston Scientific Galway site and a separate walk around Galway's Ballybrit Racecourse. The run is available over the following distances:
- 5K
- 10K
The run uses a flat 1 km lap and is chip timed. The route is described as suitable for personal best attempts. The event is open to employees and the public, and children are welcome to take part. Awards are presented to the top three male and top three female finishers in each event.
Participants receive a pink baseball hat or a T-shirt, and refreshments are served after the activities. Both the run and the walk start from the start line in front of the Boston Scientific buildings at the Project Corrib site in Galway, Ireland (H91 Y868, Building 2). The event is presented as an activity to run or walk against breast cancer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
